Tso Moriri Lake lies in the Ladakh part of Changthang region and is one of the most attractive, sacred and serene high altitude lakes present in India. Tso Moriri Lake is situated approximately 240km from Leh town in the district of Ladakh.It has an altitude of 15075 feet, which is close to 4595 Meters. Between the months of January and March, The Lake mainly remains frozen, adversely low-temperature conditions with no choice of hanging around the lake. Around the month of April, this solid frozen lake begins to melt and transforms into attractive blue multi shades off the shores. Between May and August is the peak season for tourists to visit.

During the months of September to around early October, the tourists begin to dwell around the area as the cold sets in and accommodation tents are erected close to the lake.
