Tanglang La – Gateway to Ladakh

Tanglang La, also spelled Taglang La, is one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world, sitting at an altitude of 17,582 feet (5,358 meters). It is located on the Leh-Manali Highway. This high-altitude pass is a key point on the journey between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, offering stunning views, chilly winds and a thrilling riding experience.

Though not as famous as Khardung La, Tanglang La is often considered more beautiful and peaceful. It is surrounded by barren mountain ranges and sweeping views of Ladakh’s open landscapes.

Tanglang la is considered to be third highest motorable road in India.
