Sarchu (also spelled Sir Bhum Chun in local terms) is a high-altitude plateau located at around 14,070 feet (4,290 meters) on the Leh – Manali Highway. It sits right on the border between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, making it a popular overnight stop for bikers, road trippers and travelers journeying between Manali and Leh.
